What is the mission statement
for the Junior High School Ministry at Southpoint Community Christian
Church?
Much like the rest of the church
the mission is to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus
Christ by creating environments where students prioritize their
relationship with Christ, influence their friends, and experience
personal ministry.
What are the environments for
the Junior High School Ministry?
Our junior high school ministry is
divided into two environments. Here is a short description of each of
the environments.
Explosion meets every Monday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Explosion is full of crazy games, food, videos, music, relevant messages, giveaways, and tons of fun!
The Teen Center is open at 6:30 each week before Explosion for students to come early to talk with their friends, meet new people, enjoy our Snack Shop, play XBox or PS2, listen to new Christian CD's at our Listening Station, play pool, do homework, bring dinner, or whatever.
Small Groups: Our Small Groups are a way for Junior High School students to really connect with one another at a deeper level during the week. Each group is made up of anywhere from 4 to 10 teens, and meets weekly in homes for more in depth Bible Study, discussion, prayer, and accountability. Each group studies topics that are relevant to their group. Throughout the year, they also go out from time to time and go play Laser Tag, Walleyball, have sleepovers, etc!
