EVERY MEMBER IS A MINISTER!
Ephesians 4:11-12 says that God has given pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of ministry, so that the church may be built up. God has called you, and every member of Christ's body, to ministry. Jesus said of himself that even he "...did not come to be served but to serve."
In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul says that all Christians have been given spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit. Southpoint places a high priority on people serving in ministries where they can use their spiritual gifts. When you are truly serving in the capacity God intends for you, ministry will be a joy,
a blessing and an opportunity for you to grow. |
There are many areas of ministry and
opportunities to serve, in and throughout this church.
These include areas such as
Administration,
Campus Support,
Children's Ministry,
Community Impact,
Congregational
Support, Guest Services,
Production/Worship Arts, Student
Ministries (both Adult
and Youth
opportunities) and Activities Based Ministries. Below are some
of the ministries in each of these areas. Please look
through them and pray for God to lead you to the ministry
that will use the gifts He has given you.To learn more about how God has gifted you, take
our "Impacting the World" Core Class. In this class, you
will learn what God has to say about our 3rd 'C',
Contributing. You will also have an opportunity to
take an online spiritual gifts assessment to help you
discover where you belong in ministry. But part of discovering how God can use your talents and gifts is simply
experimenting by getting involved for a period of time to see if
a specific ministry is right for you. You can "sample serve"
a ministry. Try it out, and if it's not for you, just
let us know and we will help you find something else that
is. No strings attached!
It is our prayer that every believer in Christ will find an area to serve. Some
opportunities are weekly, others are rotational. If you are interested,
click here to access our ministry sign up form. Simply check the box in the area(s) of service
you wish to join or sample, and send it to us. You
will then be contacted by our Ministry Coordinator who will
help connect you into your chosen ministry. If
you would like to request more information, you can contact
our Volunteer Ministry Director at
