Opportunities to Serve
EVERY MEMBER IS A MINISTER!

Ephesians 4:11-12 says that God has given pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of ministry, so that the church may be built up. God has called you, and every member of Christ's body, to ministry. Jesus said of himself that even he "...did not come to be served but to serve."

This is a key teaching of the New Testament and a core value of Southpoint Church. In our Disciple Development Process, going to 3rd Bass is being Committed to Ministry.

In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul says that all Christians have been given spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit. Southpoint places a high priority on people serving in ministries where they can use their spiritual gifts. When you are truly serving in the capacity God intends for you, ministry will be a joy and a blessing!

The following form briefly describes focused areas of ministry in and through this church. Please pray for God to lead you to the best place for you to serve. To learn more about how God has gifted you, take Class 301 - "Discovering My Ministry." But part of discovering how God can use your talents and gifts, is simply to experiment by getting involved for a period of time to see if that ministry is right for you. Realize your potential by getting involved each week.

It is our prayer that every believer in Christ will find an area to serve. Some are weekly, others are rotational. If you are interested, check the box in the areas of service where you wish to be involved. Type your name in the blank, and click "SUBMIT MY MINISTRY AGREEMENT". You will be contacted. Each ministry has a short description of what's involved, but may not include every task--call the church office at (734) 675-7575 or e-mail us for a written job description.
