Save the Humans
Join us in saving us humans from becoming exinct. People are no longer seen as an image of God but rather someone either I like or do not like. The world around us would look much differently if we would stand up and see people the way God sees them. Even though we are imperfect and we do evil things sometimes, God still loves us and He loves our enemies as well. He hates the evil things that they do and the evil things that we do, but He loves me and He loves them as well. Here are four ways to join the save the humans campaign:
1. Think of three people whom you would consider your enemy (someone you don't like or someone that is mean to you). Pray for those people by name every day and then go out of your way at least once this week to do something kind for them.
2. Join the Bite Back project to save thousands of lives across the world due to malaria. For more info click on the banner above, go to the Bite Back myspace, or the Bite Back Facebook.
3. Help us end hunger in the Downriver area by donating food to the Open Arms Pantry. This pantry feeds hundreds of people across Downriver that could not feed their families without it. For more info check out www.southpointccc.org/benevolenceprojects.htm for more info. You can bring in non perishable food items and plastic bags to any of our student events, during the weekend services at Southpoint, or during the week from 10AM - 3PM.
4. Think of one person that you know who does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Come and pick up one of our free Bibles, put that person's name on the inside cover and give it to them. When you give it to them, just say that you were thinking about them, and wanted to give them a gift. Do not try to preach to them or try to tell them that they must know Jesus. Just give them a free gift.
